Nebraska Day Care Centers

With just about one thousand two hundred day care facilities in the Nebraska area, government oversight and inspections are not difficult. However, as in many of the more frontier' states, Nebraskan law takes a very laidback approach to directing the functioning of Nebraska day care centers. For example the staff of Nebraska day care centers rare only required to have about twelve hours of training, and this only annually. Besides this, teachers and stuff are of course required to undergo an initial orientation program. However, state requirements are limited to this program, and many requirements that are enforced by other states are not required in Nebraska. For example, staff are not required to have training in any of the safety procedures that are so much a part of the basic requirements of other states. The staff of Nebraska day care centers are not required to train at fire safety or CPR, for example. And while staff must undergo a basic check into their backgrounds, this check is very superficial.
